Adult Education – made possible by the Circle
Chabad Jewish Center offers a comprehensive selection of Adult Education programs providing over 100 people per week the opportunity to learn, grow and share through its vibrant learning opportunities. Many of the classes are free and many that are charged for are discounted to ensure they are affordable.
The Circle makes all this possible, providing a stable economic platform from which Adult Education is made possible. We invite and welcome you to experience our Adult Education programs and to join our Circle.
· Jewish Learning Institute courses: The Jewish Learning Institute brings authentic, relevant Jewish learning to adults seeking intellectual and spiritual growth. We bring Jewish learning to life, leading students toward fresh thinking about the world, and creating an environment that inspires feelings of hope, purpose, meaning and value.
· Saturday morning Kabbalah Class: All are welcome to stop in & join us as we sit around a table with a cup of coffee or tea & warm your mind & heart with time-tested wisdom.
· Women’s Learning Circle: Learn, share, & enjoy text-based discussion with friends over coffee & cake. Casual and friendly environment.
· Jewish Bible Study Experience for Non-Jews: Designed for non-Jews to illustrate the Jewish perspective on topics in the Bible. The Rabbi provides an alluring Jewish prospective on topics covered in the Bible!
· Mini Courses: offered at various times during the year including: B mitzvah discovery course for adults who want to celebrate their B mitzvah, Jewish History and Hebrew reading
· Jewish Women’s Circle: These beautiful gatherings are designed to bring women of all ages and backgrounds together to socialize, learn, laugh and recharge.
· Torah Studies: In depth study, drawing meaning & currency from each week's Torah portion. You have heard the stories. You may have even read the portions. Now it is time for you to delve deeper and journey along the pathways traversed by our sages, commentators and mystics. Join us for an in depth study into a selection from the week's Torah portion, and gain insight, meaning, and inspiration along the way.
· Torah Talk: Get up close and personal with your Torah. Explore the all time best seller with this informal lay led Torah study and discussion group.
· Other learning opportunity: One on one learning, pre-holiday classes, lectures and guest speakers.
