Our Grand Purim Celebration was held Thurs. evening, 3/24/05, and it was a huge success. We had wall to wall people, many in costume. Rabbi Kantor read the Megillah & the synagogue filled with noise & boo's as Haman's name was read.
The party was a Japanese theme. Guests enjoyed a buffet spread of sushi, tempura, teriyaki chicken, & other Japanese cuisine. Kids made Haman's boshi hat out of origami & enjoyed various other activities including a martial arts demonstration. There was drinking & dancing & lots of fun. We had live music after some Hebrew High kids & Rabbi Marcus broke out the electric guitars.
It was a memorable event. Check out the pictures at the link here.
